Abstract
EU farms specializing in milk production are characterized by a considerable diversity in terms of income levels. This variation is due to the impact of a number of natural and economic factors. In EU-15, the level of income increased by 160% in 2011 as compared to 2004. This upward trend was even more strongly manifested - 330% - in the case of dairy farms in EU-10. Such a significant increase in revenue was due to, among others, integration and expansion of the EU, and opportunities for farmers to benefit from support schemes under the CAP.
