Acta Scientiarum Polonorum. Oeconomia is an Open Access journal. Articles in this journal are distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This means that they may be freely copied, printed, and re-used for non-commercial purposes, provided that the authorship is properly attributed.
All articles published in this journal are freely available online, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by an article-processing charge (APC) which covers the range of publishing services provided by the editorial team. More information about APC can be found on the journal’s website under the tab Charges.
Authors publishing in the journal Acta Scientiarum Polonorum. Oeconomia retain the right to re-use their articles, including sharing different versions of them via a repository or other online platform of their choice.
Sharing and promoting an article is an important part of scientific research, in terms of fostering the exchange of scientific information and allowing research results to contribute to broader scientific progress. In addition, sharing an article with a wide audience increases the author's visibility, which helps them and their work achieve greater impact (including citations), enables the promotion of research, builds a better reputation, and creates opportunities for collaboration and career development.
The journal has been publishing all content in open access since Vol. 6 No. 1 (2007); earlier issues (Vol. 1 No. 1 [2002] – Vol. 5 No. 2 [2006]) have been digitized and are also available online.
I. AUTHOR SELF-ARCHIVING POLICY
- Definitions
- Submitted Version (other names: preprint): an unreviewed version of a scientific manuscript, before undergoing formal peer review and final publication by a journal or publisher.
- Accepted Version (other names: postprint, Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM)): the manuscript of an article that has been accepted for publication and which typically includes author-incorporated changes suggested during submission and peer review, but do not includes other publisher value-added contributions such as copy-editing, formatting, technical enhancements and pagination.
- Published Version (other names: published journal article, Version of Record (VoR)): the definitive final record of published research that appears in the journal and embodies all value-adding publisher activities, including peer review co-ordination, copy-editing, formatting, pagination and online enrichment.
- Sharing versions of journal articles
- Submitted Version:
Authors can share this version of the article anywhere at any times. After the article is published on the journal's website, authors should link from the preprint to their formal publication via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
The editorial office recommends using a standard license for the sharing version, such as Creative Commons licenses, to specify in detail the conditions of access and use of this version of the article.
- Accepted Version:
Authors can share this version of the article anywhere, after receiving confirmation of acceptance for publication from the editorial board. After the article is published on the journal's website, authors should link from the postprint to their formal publication via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
The editorial office recommends using a standard license for the sharing version, such as Creative Commons licenses, to specify in detail the conditions of access and use of this version of the article.
- Published Version:
Authors can share this version of the article via non-commercial repositories or other non-commercial websites (including Research Gate) after the article has been published on the journal's website. This version may only be published under the same license as on the journal's website, i.e., Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0).
The description of the sharing article should include the full bibliographic details of the published version and a link with the DOI to the publication on the journal's website.
- Authors' responsibilities
Authors should clearly mark each version of the article to avoid confusion.
- Exceptions
The policy does not apply to versions of articles that have been withdrawn or replaced due to errors or other valid reasons.
- Review and changes to the policy
The editorial board of Acta Scientiarum Polonorum. Oeconomia will periodically review and update the repository policy to ensure its compliance with evolving best practices in scientific publishing and sharing policy. Any changes to this policy will be communicated to authors and made publicly available on the journal's website.
ARCHIVING POLICY
The journal Acta Scientiarum Polonorum. Oeconomia has two versions: online and printed.
One of the archiving versions is printed copies stored in the National Library in Warsaw (Poland), the Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), at the headquarters of the Publishing House, and at the editorial office (Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland).
Online versions are archived on the OneDrive disk as part of an intra-university service under the Microsoft license, the rights of which belong to the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland. Additionally, they are archived on a portable disk at the editorial office.
