Abstract
The aim of the paper was to present common organization of sugar market in the European Union and its functioning after accession in Poland. The main legal and economic instruments on the market were presented as well. More serious changes may be observed in season 2006/07. Some suggestions of changes on sugar market had been shown in Luxembourg, on June 26th 2003 in a form of three independent scenarios, which will be the basis for EU discussion on the reform.
